Our HP Director

Bogdan Grygorenko

Bogdan is one of the few handful Coaches in Canada who is a prestigiously certified Coach 4. He was a former Tennis Canada coach and traveled the world with the best junior Canadian tennis players, helping develop great tennis players along his path. Bogdan was a 2 time Boys U14 Team Canada captain at the World Junior Tennis Championships, which is a U14 world championship. Bogdan joined PRC in its inaugural 2022 season with the mission to make our HP program the best in the country.

“PRC is the perfect club and set up to become the best tennis player you can be. It’s a club where you come and put the work in, simple as that. We have a fantastic team of former national champions, fitness training, hitting partners, ability to practice twice a day, wildcards to ITF tournaments, local and international trips, seminars for parents, and off court activities for players. It doesn’t get any better than this.” Bogdan Grygorenko

Here is what former Bogdan’s students say about working with him:

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Bogdan during key transitional periods of my career at the national tennis centre. Bogdan is an excellent communicator, makes you feel seen, heard, and understood, and approaches improvement with a holistic, problem-solving mindset. He is interested in getting the best out of you mentally, tactically, and technically, and is able to think outside the box to provide a personalized plan. His effort and dedication is infectious for his players. His strong morals, compassion, and credentials only validates his abilities on the court.”

Carol Zhao,
Fed Cup Player, former top #135 WTA, Stanford Scholarship, Ivy League.

“Bogdan was one of the first coaches I worked with when I started with Tennis Canada from when I was 12-14. He had the perfect balance between hard work and having fun. He was very firm on working hard, and being dedicated, but coached in a way that was very understanding and enjoyable. Bogdan is someone I will always be grateful to have been coached by, and I knowI can always go to him for advice on and off the court to this day!”

Kayla Cross, Canadian Pro Player, Former Junior #34 Junior ITF, 2 time Grand Slam Doubles Finalist. Vanderbilt University Scholarship, Division 1.

“Reflecting on my training, tournaments, dinners, lectures, and memorable off-court experiences with Bogdan, I learned that it wasn’t just about acquiring new skills and becoming a better tennis player. It was about having an emotional journey that left a forever-lasting impact on my life. He didn’t only make me improve my tennis, he taught me essential core values that made every trip and practice we took together an unforgettable experience filled with joy, pain, growth, needed discomfort and laughter.”

Aleksandar Mitric, U18 National Champion, Princeton University Scholarship, Ivy League.

“I worked with Bogdan for a couple of years when I was 14. Working with Bogdan really helped me realize how hard I can truly push myself because he never let me settle for anything less. He is the type of coach who won’t hand you the answers to your problems but instead gives you the tools to think about them and solve them on your own. Having this skill helped me a lot both on and off the court and I believe that any high performance player would benefit from working with a coach like him.”

Dharani Niroshan, Top 3 National Player, Mississippi State Scholarship, Division 1.

Off Court activities

For players:

We understand that in order to successfully develop great players and even better human beings, it’s paramount to do things outside of the tennis court. From time to time we organize off-court activities like going to movies, playing soccer, extra fitness, watching tennis matches, among other things.  This is for our players to help them create a bond with the others in the program, develop friendships, and realize that we’re more than just a tennis program. We’re a team, a family.
